What is Grandmaster?
Chess Terms : Grandmaster Explained
A Grandmaster is a high-ranking chess player who has been awarded the title by the World Chess Federation, also known as FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs). The title is often based on a combination of performance criteria, including a certain number of well-performed games against other Grandmasters, and a high rating on the FIDE scale. It is one of the highest honours a chess player can achieve.
