What is Knight?
Chess Terms : Knight Explained
A knight in chess is a game piece that is conventionally depicted as a knight mounted on a horse. It is known for its distinctive moving pattern: unlike other pieces, the knight can jump over any piece, and it moves to any square not in its current rank, file, or diagonal, creating an L-shape consisting of two squares vertically and one square horizontally or two squares horizontally and one square vertically. Thus, its move is not blocked by other pieces and is able to threaten or capture them if it lands on a square they occupy. See Moving the knight.
