Rating

Rating in chess is a system used to calculate the skill level of players, ranging from beginners to World champions. This numerical value increases or decreases based on the outcomes of games against other rated players. The rating system is intended to predict the potential outcome of a game; higher-rated players are predicted to perform better and score more game points than lower-rated players. Various chess organizations have their own unique rating system, the most recognized internationally is the Elo rating system.
