Tournament

A tournament in chess is a competitive event where multiple players participate and compete against one another in a series of chess games. The players are typically paired using a set of rules designed to ensure that each participant plays opponents with a similar running score, such as the Swiss system. Tournaments can be organized at a local, national or international level and they aid in determining player ratings. There are different types of chess tournaments such as Round-Robin, Swiss, Knockout or Simultaneous Exhibition.
