@kewpie saidThere is the recent case of @Dariusz, who started a thread with two initial posts, then disapparrated, having started one game which he timed-out after two moves. I'm guessing that is the sort of thing Russ wants to see less of. I don't think it's about the content of the threads; I think it's probably more about cluttering up server memory with dummy accounts.
Just completing a game wouldn't be enough, 3 moves and a resignation wouldn't take long.

@handyandy saidMake that a pint of Guinness, and you're on !
How about completing one game and donating a pint of blood?

@moonbus saidI've made zero moves this month.
300 is too many. I've made 81 moves so far this month.
My point is that when you come to RHP it is to play chess.
The forums are an added bonus that you gradually get into.
Anyone who wants to post straight away is, in my opinion,
almost certainly someone using a second account.
@russ saidWell done.
To hinder spammers and multi-account abusers of the forums, a minimum of 10 moves is now required before you can create a new thread or post to the forums.
The exception is the help forum, which remains open to anyone. Also, in the rare occurrence that someone becomes a subscriber within 10 moves, they too can post freely.

Some know too much of what has happened in the past to be new members.
Doesn't have to be a second account old one could be gone and they could be starting new one.
Perhaps Russ secret tweak will work, lets see what happens.
