That,s nothing short of a pathetic defence of what you do. If my football team are 5 goals behind with ten minutes to play, I dont expect our manager to call our players off the pitch. We play till the referee blows the whistle after 90 minutes. So why dos'nt your clan do the same?
A star player is pulled off the field of play near the end of a game and replaced with a substitute.
If the outcome is decided.
Whether it is football, American football, Baseball, Ice hockey .... etc ...
If a clan challenge is decided, lets get on to the next challenge.
Most clan leaders watch the game loads of their players and assign challenges accordingly.
At least the good ones do.
There is more to clan strategy than just what happens on the chessboard !!
You do watch sports, don't you ??

Win/lose Ratio of Metallica Over The Years
2016: 90W 31L
2015: 213W 63L
2014: 311W 79L
2013: 347W 102L
2012: 346W 106L
2011: 507W 219L
2010: 830W 192L
2009: 605W 186L
2008: 587W 246L
etc.
This is an impossible statistical anomaly, if you a ...[text shortened]... es were close, get real.
Metallica is just bitter, because they're losing at their own game.
I never realized how good.
You guys cheat.
We all know how much you cheat too.

First of all, your example is NOT the same.
In your example, your team still has a chance to win.
In regards to the chess, there is always ZERO chance of another outcome.
Explain to me what benefit is derived from "playing out the string"?
None, zero, zip, nada!! All you do is waste time.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this.
If it gives the idiots like carobbie fodder for their bogus claims of sandbagging,
then have Russ create a magic button you push to resign a game with ZERO loss
or gain of rating for either side.
My god you people do not understand the simplest of concepts.
I can explain it to you all, but I cannot understand it for you.
Is that enough of an answer for you?
What aren't you griping about the real crimes of set up challenges against patsies?
Now, you have something that serves only one purpose.
If you want to place blame on anyone for the practice of resigning games in one challenge,
place if firmly on me. It is my call as clan leader, and it isn't going to change.

When Im playing for The English Clan, I play to win 100% of the time, whether or not the challenge is won or lost.. I know you dont understand that simple concept, but I'm on this site to win chess games. I'm not here to cheat and collude with other players. Try and get your brain round that, if that's possible.

Clan challenges have different goals.
For the record, I will offer my opponent a draw first.
That will minimize the rating swing.
In fact, if 2 players are equally matched, a draw results in a zero rating change.

So why do you attack me?
By the way, have you EVER resigned ANY game for ANY reason?
If you answered yes, then why did you do it?
Until checkmate occurs, regardless of your material deficit, there is still a chance to win.
If you answered yes, then you sir, are a hypocrite.
If you answered no, then you are a liar.
