Could have been avoided if we had any English or British actors capable of pulling off a leading-man role.

Sadly they’re all either foppish homos like Hugh Grant or that ‘Mr Darcy’ tool, or concave-chested weaklings like Jude Law or Orlando Bloom or ‘Character Actors’ (i.e. as ugly as sin with wooden teeth from the stone age).

Besides, a country that allows the ultimate David Niven English action hero, ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’ (and family) to become a load of Americans is a country with no stones whatsoever.

We deserve all the cod-accent treatment we get, until we start producing proper Movie Stars instead of little supporting actors, and Crowe should have said that, he was no doubt thinking it.

It's interesting, there are so many folk songs with that name, usually a guy who gets beheaded stealing the king's deer or the king's Dear.
