Some time ago I saw the Rova Saxophone Quartet in a small room in art gallery with a high ceiling. The acoustics were such that the overtones they were generating seemed to emanate from near the ceiling in various places in the room. It was really quite fascinating.

Also have to give mention to Le Quan Ninh playing "surrounded bass drum". If you've never seen him work his magic, you can check out a video clip here, though when I saw him he didn't use cymbals at all. He really plays a great pine cone 🙂

Rock en Seine 2008 (Paris) - Rage Against the Machine. 30000 people jumping together. Terrific!
O2 Arena (Prague) 2008 - AC/DC. Excellent.
Download 2010 (Donnington) - AC/DC and RATM at their best.
Pavilhão Atlântico 2009 (Lisbon) and Sonisphere 2010 (Bucharest) - Rammstein. The best live band ever.
Sonisphere 2010 (Bucharest) - The Big Four. Metallica and Slayer ruled.
Iron Maiden twice in Bucharest (2008 and 2010). They are incredible.

I had the good fortune to see Utah Phillips twice before he passed away. Either of those would be the best. Next would come Roger Waters, Radio K.A.O.S. tour. Third...Peter Gabriel.

LL Cool J headlined and made a HUGE mistake. He had Dougy Fresh open of him. He blew the crowd away, leaving LL with nothing but a shark-fin hat.

SahhhWheat! Who says Harp and beatbox don't mix?
