How exactly? About 120,000 Americans, foreign nationals and Afghan allies were successfully withdrawn in a matter of weeks. https://www.cnn.com/2021/08/30/politics/us-military-withdraws-afghanistan/index.html
Biden having the guts to pull the plug on that 20 year catastrophic misadventure that his three predecessors lacked the political will to do is the best moment of his Presidency.
The agreement for withdrawal was made under Trump.
Did Trump "have the guts..." etc...?
LOLOOLOL
@earl-of-trumps saidDid Trump end the occupation of Afghanistan during his term of office?

Yes or no?
Trump making a surrender agreement with the Taliban to help his re-election efforts didn't mean he would follow it. There were still 4500 US troops in country as of November 2020 and they were still committed to "counterterrorism and advisory support". https://www.military.com/daily-news/2020/12/21/first-nato-forces-now-outnumber-us-troops-afghanistan.html

They were hardly "abandoned" though right wingers didn't want them to be settled in the US. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2021/08/right-wing-afghan-refugee-panic

@mott-the-hoople saidYour question is based on a lie, so it can't be answered truthfully and, unlike you, that's the only way I answer a question. Here's some facts that refute your ridiculous "abandoned" claim:

In the next two weeks, over 120,000 people were successfully evacuated by the US and other nations from Afghanistan. They weren't "abandoned" as you falsely claimed.
Yes, there were some unfortunate losses, including from a terrorist attack, but the withdrawal and evacuation were handled with great skill and courage by our and other countries' troops. And the end of the occupation meant an end to the US involvement in a senseless war that was costing thousands of lives every year. That Biden did what he said he would do and ended it was to his credit.
