Actually unlike you, I've made straightforward proposals that would quickly balance the budget. You, on the other hand, have offered no specifics and simply rant and rave.
Ok, suspend all spending and put the entire GDP to pay off the $14 trillion+ debt. It should be payed off by the year 2020 and the trillion a year in interest the US now flushes down the commode can be redirected toward your nanny state entitlements. 😀

So, 16 posts into your own thread and you resort to a silly sarcastic comment, or are you actually being serious?

Well, there's a very simple answer.
The old oil families like the Bushes sold it to Japan so the Imperial Japanese Navy could conquer East Asia.

How about the 4.8 billion gov't subsidies to the oil companies? Certainly that should end.

Perhaps, although I think you give less credit to Americans as a whole than they deserve. I personally think those poll numbers show a greater sense of realism with regards to divided government than you feel.
The CBO just finished scoring the budget deal, and the total savings amounted to a bit over 100 million, not 38 B.

Well you used a smiley to insulate yourself from having to discuss the topic seriously whilst at the same time - presumably - seeking to seem somehow satirical or perhaps, I don't know, knowing or something. So if you say you're serious, explain how you "put the entire GDP" to pay off the debt?

To complain about things like child care assistance and cast a blind eye to subsidizing the oil companies and 2 billion a week in Afghanistan is immoral. Typical right wing baloney.

That type of attitude is simply insane.
