And why would a guy with all the money in the world who could have any woman he want do such a thing to a stranger and risk prison?

Perhaps she, like a lot of sexual assault victims, decided she couldn’t face scum like you so just tried to put it behind her. But then one day she sees her rapist pleasuring himself on the US flag after bragging about being able to assault any women he wanted to and something just snapped 🤷🏻♂️

Going to trial against your accuser is never an easy thing, much less so for women, especially for a crime a lot of men don't see as a crime, merely because it often comes down to "he said, she said". Rape trials, especially in this country, are brutal for women. "Did you 'lead him on'?", as if that excuses being attacked. "You wanted it, then you changed your mind." So? Does that justify rape? Are we animals? "You're making it up, you're just after his money." So now money is a shield against being charged with assault?
The very same reasons why someone might wait to press charges are the very same reasons why way more than half of all rapes are even reported. It is the one crime where the perpetrator is often exalted, while the victim is vilified. This needs to end.
