The fact of the matter, which sh76 won't admit, is that the protests of the Gaza war on US campuses have been almost entirely nonviolent though some have been marked by civil disobedience (say of the sort a man we now have a national holiday in honor of routinely engaged in). There is simply no comparison between these protests and the mass violence of January 6, 2021 and it doesn't matter who suggests differently.

Imagine we're at Trump's inauguration in 2016. After his wild rant about blood in the streets that passed as his inauguration speech, he and Barack Obama shook hands.

Imagine at that moment that two people charged from the crowd with knives.

Person A heads for Obama, intent on killing him because he hates black people.

Person B ...[text shortened]... istration would do for the country.

Is there a clear answer as to whether Person A or B is worse?

Both are equally guilty of attempting to assassinate a President which far outweighs any hate crime aspect to the assassination.

So far from any pictures similar to the mass attacks on police during the January 6th insurrection, what we have is right wingers again using violence for political reasons.
