I'm not interested in conv ...[text shortened]... sure as I'm sitting here, that you wouldn't say it to my face.
I think this thread is silly because you make a lot of assertions and have given not a single example or proof .
Why would I want to change you? Are you defective? Hell, I don't even know you. I do know that you post stuff that is pure religion. And I don't like religion.

What is intelligent debate?

100.000 civilians have died because of that assertion. That's quite a heavy price to pay without proof, isn't it?
I'm sure if your government (which you so willingly support) is able to act on assertions, you can continue this debate without proof as well.

I wanted to remove Saddam only because he was a dictator. I could care less about any reason but that.
See my thread on making decisions BEFORE THE EVENT. I did. I supported killing a lot of people in order to free a lot of slaves. So?
Adults have to make hard choices. Kids just set and use the past as a weapon to fend of reality.

No, you know what - you're right. Bush is the second coming of Jesus Christ. I hear that even his turds are bright and shiny. He has been a magical president, so much so that I think we should throw out the Constitution and install him as President For Life - no, that's not big enough. Supreme Commander of The Universe. And he should get to wear ...[text shortened]... accomplishments and great feats, and songs, poetry and prose that praise our Great Leader.
Do you know how silly you are making yourself out to be? All the vitriol and no supporting logic? Your silly religion is showing.

Why not do that in 1987 when he was gassing Kurds with the weapons you were supplying him?
Originally posted by sasquatch672Sorry if I gored your chimpy ass. You sat on the thistle. I just pointed out your lack of protection. If you are going to make yourself into it, and you are going to expose it so publicly, you should learn to offer more than broad assertions. Get an example or two before trying to "convert the world" to your religion. Faith is cool. Just not very convincing.
ALL HAIL THE GREAT LEADER!
ALL HAIL THE GREAT LEADER!
AVERT YOUR EYES! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY TO SPEAK HIS NAME!
ALL HAIL THE GREAT LEADER!

Nothing. But he did kill 1.3 million people without my permission. Some things just piss me off. That was one of them.
Let's see...what about Vietnam? What's your stance on that?
Panama? Cuba? The rest of central America?
Where do you stand on these matters?
What about Pinochet? He was supported by the US. He killed thousands.
And yes, Saddam did kill an aweful lot of people. With the weapons you supplied him!?! What's your stance on that?
Could it be: "Well, we earned a lot of money selling him those weapons and now we earned a lot of money rebuilding Iraq."
Your use of energy is killing people. World hunger supporting your life style and income....is killing millions of people.
Where do you stand on these issues StarValleyWy?
I don't see you combatting the sources of these mass murderers?
What's your stance on 911 then? The man you created killing a few thousand Americans instead of Russians he was trained to do?
You seem very naieve for someone who is so set in his opinions.
Have you ever read "The quiet American."?
I think that you should.

I think that it was wrong to abandon southeast asia to communism. We got Pol Pot and we got the current Viet regime.
Panama is a good place to visit, but too hot to want to live there. Very nice cafes in Panama City. And wonderful pubs.
Cuba I don't know. Never been there.
Central america is ok. I really liked the friendly attitude of the people. One of the best nights of my life was attending the wedding of Jose Amaritas Fernandez Gonzalez in San Salvador. Great place. Good people. "Joe" worked for me and I helped him start his business back in 1978.
Pinochet was a bastard. But "our" bastard. Things change. Don't they?
You miss the point. I had to decide before the event. You only have opinions of history. Not even comparable.

How is my use of energy killing anyone?
Seriously? Be careful. Remember that I pay for it, and I do nothing outside of the bounds of the norm for a human of this year.
People are born. They die. It ain't my fault. I do what I can to be a good citizen. I live a very meager life. I don't waste anything.

You mean pre-emptivly deciding something? Acting on something?
So you mean Iran should bomb the hell out of Washington tomorrow, because they suspect the US is about to do the same to them?
