It’s now happening across America and around the world.

In the case of children who decide they are transsexual the medics give them a drug which prevents the onset of puberty. The purpose is to give them time to change their minds. When they get to 16 and if they still want to go ahead they give them the op and they only ever have female hormones. So in that case there is no possibility of athletic advantage. As to your general point, I find it difficult to believe that someone would go for a sex change just for the purpose of gaining an unfair sporting advantage.

They have rules.
As you say, they're businesses.
Sports business is run on the premise that one person/team is slightly better than others.
But generally speaking: most have a chance of winning (or it becomes uninteresting / not-profitable; even casinos pay roughly 78% of innings back to gamblers).

Now, if an ex-man is suddenly shifting that balance and the rules remain the same: what does that say about sports?
