There are over 4,500 home burglaries per day in the United States. The average number of home invasions per year was 1,030,000 between 1994 and 2010.
According to a United States Department of Justice report:38% of assaults & 60% of rapes occur during home invasions.Over 2,000,000 homes will experience a break-in or burglary this year.
It's only gotten worse since then.

@capacrapa saidYeah. Sure. I’m retarded.
@shavixmir
You do realize people need guns for home defense right?
Home invasions happen about 10,000 times more than where you are from.
Keep your guns at a gun club?
You're retarded.
🙄
Why the hell do you have so much home invasion? And if there’s so much home invasion, how come there’s “only” 24.000 gun related homicides each year?
Could it be that you have to keep your gun locked up in a seperate location to the bullets?
Or, is it that the majority of home invasions happen when nobody’s home?
Perhaps invest in precautionary measures like home security systems and cameras? Eh? Lock the bloody doors?

@shavixmir
Locked doors only keep law abiding citizens out.
Locked doors don't stop criminals. Neither do windows 🙄
You see the stats above? 60 percent of rapes are during home invasions.
@capacrapa said60% of rapes do not occur during home invasions. Most raping is done by peoe who know the victim.

I have no idea what sort of blog you’re linking to, but it’s about as accurate as a limp cock.
@capacrapa saidEither do guns, seemingly, eh.

You know nothing about the USA.
Nothing at all.
What you fail to comprehend is that a lot of your political opinions are based on fear mongering and extremist lobby groups who constantly pump you full of moronity.
Fear is never a good base for making rational decisions.
Cast your eyes further afield: how do European countries, for example, deal with abortion, welfare, guns, etc.?
And how come those countries keep thriving, if the US way is the only way?
Australia, New Zealand… look. Compare. And when you do, you’ll realise that a great many of the truths you hold dear are not truths at all. Just fear mongering and extremist propaganda
Hence that nearly every debate on this forum is between right-wing Americans against the rest of the world.
You are living in a fear-driven bubble you don’t dare confront.
Gun ownership isn’t really an issue. Nearly every nation on the planet bans the things, because they’re dangerous to have lying around the house. Yet for you it’s such a big thing.
Damn, if you don’t own a gun, you’re gonna get raped in your own home by criminals with guns.
Do you hear it? Can you hear it?
@Kevin-Eleven
The issue with gun violence is spiritual and one of the heart!
When today’s youth are so immersed in violent video and role playing games, are over prescribed depression and anxiety medicines, come from broken families with lack of a father figure in their lives it should come as no surprise that atrocities like mass murder happen.
21 for gun ownership, yes! Eliminate violent video games which are more like training in violence, absolutely! Reduction in the over prescribing of Psychological type medicines for a must!
Background checks for gun ownership is only a part of the solution to the sickness in our society but one of the only that is politicized and focused on in dealing with this kind of violence.
The issue with gun violence is spiritual and one of the heart, until this is dealt with expect little change.
@Kevin-Eleven
Background checks have been required since the 1968 Gun Control Act, what's all this noise about there being none?

@capacrapa saidThe 21 age limit gives another two years for any mental health issues to get flagged, 25 would be better but 21 is a start.
The problem is when someone meets those guidelines and still shoots up a school yall gonna ask for more laws and restrictions.
Bi polar disorder classically manifests itself in a persons 20s, schizophrenia seems most likely to manifest in mid to late teens. It’s not a bad idea to let a young brain settle into a behaviour pattern before giving it a semi automatic weapon to play with.

Violent movies, T.V., music, and now games...
No matter what, if fewer guns were available,
there would be fewer deaths.😛

If I see a killer threatening my family, or a helpless kid, or the elderly folks—I’m going to shoot him. And I will be able to do just that. I’m a hard working American male, four-decades plus taxpaying and paying every single one of my bills, plus a few others.
I was raised around guns, horses, plows, cattle, farm equipment, etc. All of those things are just tools in the hands of honest people. A gun is only as good as the person holding it. And not an ounce worse. But people with absolutely no common sense whatsoever can never see that.
The opinion of the left in this country, while it is their right to express it, does not impress me in the slightest. Hell, I don’t much like the opinion of any group, right or left, that uses their old and weary platforms just to divide people and maintain power. People who do that have walked away from anything resembling humanity. They just conform to the platform of their own twisted choice.

Not at all.
Canada is mostly immigrants and they don't understand English.
I'm not Canadian nor am I in Canada BTW.
Underpaid?
Teachers here make 80k a year...

40k USA is about 60k Canadian.
Where is "here", CC?
Patzering you're not fooling anyone. I still remember you admitting to dressing in drag and having gay sex in prison.
