@athousandyoung saidwhat law requires this baker to furnish anything?
There are laws prohibiting what the baker is doing. If you don’t like it change the law. Get the civil rights legislation repealed. We all know you right wingers want to.
And dont get mad, Im just reminding you of your prior actions
@mott-the-hoople saidThey don’t answer

@mott-the-hoople saidThe nature of communities., which provide police, sidewalks , firemen, garbage engineers, is such that these amenities are being used by the baker, so that his existence may be enjoyed by every taxpayer. Your business must cater to all of the taxpayers of the town.

@athousandyoung saidCould be as simple as 'oops, spilled the salt'. Do you think the best way to elicit cooperation and good service is to have goobermint wave a stick at someone, literally make them a slave.
Sounds like a great opportunity analyze the cake and sue the chef. He could have just pocketed the 400 bucks but if he wants to break the law…
@wajoma saidLMAO! "Literally make them a slave"? Do you even know what a "slave" is?

I think the best way to assure that customers aren't discriminated against by those who are allowed to operate in the economic system by the society that created it is to ban such unethical and immoral conduct.

Didn't we just have a whole thread on police violence where the conservative position was that all citizens should cooperate with government orders unconditionally?

@wildgrass saidThat's different; that requirement is limited to black people, not God fearing Christians.the best way to elicit cooperation and good service is to have goobermint wave a stick at someone

@wajoma saidRight. Even application of laws requires some acceptance of laws that individual citizens disagree with. Depending on the situation, we seem to go round and round in this forum from "just obey the government" (borders, traffic stops, taxes) to "the government is corrupt and untrustworthy".
I don't care what the other thread was about and what other people posted there.
It sounds like this particular law is one you disagree with?
@wildgrass saidI asked what law? no one can tell me
