How about American Privilege? But you have to be one. Seems most here are not. But they talk about it? Duchess, you say often that we aren’t receptive to multiculturalism. Golly, we just cant do anthing right. Even Zahlanzi, who says he hails from Romania, wrote today about such things for the US as free college, healthcare et al, even tells how easy our voting should be. Why the big interest in the greatest country on earth? Norway has us beat because of bicycles and minimal work requirements, but we are right up there. Tell us about Chinese squalor. And chinese multiculturalism.

Hell, tell us about the squalor in Africa Asia and Central and South Ameria, but for some reason libtuurds just GOTTA whine and cry about how awful Big Bad America is....meanwhile millions of people every year are risking their lives to come to America.

Thank you for introducing that explanation and background re: intersectionality into the discussion.

I'm not pagan or wiccan, but I am aware of the concept of othering. I think it would be better for us all to reduce the othering of everyone rather than just change who gets othered.

I remember that some version of feminism in America sometime in the past few decades was inclusive of males, and considered them/us to be also damaged by the cultural patriarchy. (Bull males might disagree and call me a whiny beta male, which would actually prove the point.)

I'm trying to say: let's be careful not to "other" white men, if the idea is that "othering" is a problem.

I'm not a sharp debater and don't care to be, but those are some thoughts on the matter.

P.S. -- For people not familiar with this term "othering", maybe we could say it's a less loaded version of "demonizing".

Intersectionality taken to its proper extreme should result in a vaguer understanding than the Tao of Physics from a few decades ago.

I have been an occasional amateur astrologer for longer than one of Saturn's orbits round our sun and am well aware of how quickly an arbitrary symbological system can turn into a cat's cradle soaked in mush.

If you have a problem with white people, take it to Michelle Yeoh, Spanky. She could kick your ass without even moving, but I doubt she would. 😉
