The US can add 5.8 million bpd in oil production in a few weeks?

The most we ever produced was 13 million barrels a week. https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=PET&s=WCRFPUS2&f=W

Weren't you complaining about gas prices? Now Biden urges something that would cut gas prices in the global markets and you complain about that, too.

Even if the US didn't buy one gallon of OPEC gas, an increase in OPEC production back to pre-pandemic levels would put strong downward pressure on world gas prices.

The present OPEC cut of 5.8 million bpd (https://www. ...[text shortened]... reasing supply and thus cutting prices as would OPEC returning to pre-pandemic levels of production.
Im sure you and links are right. One of the conservative stations, that you folks don’t like, points out that many more jobs are being created in Russia due to this. Go Biden.

Greatly increasing US production would lower prices and help pur economy. It would be a real won win for the US. The Biden plan is a lose lose position.
Some folkss here dont get supply and demand, economics, etc.

One yr ago the US controlled its own gas prices. Because of bidens policies russia and arab nations now control our gas prices.

Just how stupid are you going to get with this?

Some day I'll explain supply and demand to you.

Needless to say, in the long term, it is necessary to reduce the amount of fossil fuels used. In the short term, however, higher gas prices are a drag on the economic recovery from the pandemic recession.
I somehow think I do get the old supply and demand stuff ok, Price goes up, demand goes down, or am I missing something. I thought we were on the road to destruction if we did not act right now. Is that not one way to fix it, reduce demand.
The problem with this is, only the poor suffers if we do that, and we cannot sacrifice the poor to be green can we.
BTW, trying to increase supply is the right thing to do, using more fossil fuels is better for everyone, right, ( some sarcasm inc ) just counter to all their self righteous cr*p.

One year ago we were in a pandemic recession which collapsed world demand for gas and led to a price and production plunge.

When you mention everyone, are you including India and China? Do their forum posters include the USA? Just curious. Since you don't mention china, India, does that mean that you think the USA can clean all this up by ourselves?
This is an example of liberal not-reasoning. Liberal Fallacy.

Start watching the polls on your president. Ouch. And he is NOT even the one failing......Obama and Susan Rice and Bernie are doing it all. If they were not (being secretive) , you know that they would be in the news daily.
They are quite busy, and secretive, enough, they don't need to be in the news selling anything, they are getting it all done with their puppet!
Wish I could write like the Sobnhouse!!!!

Well, seriously, with all that is going on, it is a given that Joe can hardly dress himself, he reads teleprompters like a 7th grader, with not any effort to at least look away on occasion. Just reads.
So he needs help. Do you think Obama, the guy who promised to transform America, is just sitting on the beach? Do you think Bernie has gone away? Do you? It is not Biden who is handling climate change wrongly, he is in a cloud.

The US accounts for only 15% of the worlds pollution...it is not sound logic to think with ZERO emmissions from US would help.
