The US currently has a labor shortage with historically low levels of unemployment - we're at or even below what economists refer to as "full employment".
And rounding up millions of gainfully employed persons and sticking them in concentration camps would depress consumer spending and lessen overall economic activity. That would lead to further job losses and layoffs except in the concentration camp guard industry.
So it's another dunderheaded recipe for economic disaster.
