OMG earl if they were doing it publicly, then although they might get a rebuke and it could well be counterproductive it wouldn’t really be an issue because the electorate would be aware of the source and could judge it accordingly.
But unlike Obama, Trump and his Russian cohorts like to do things a little more covertly.
