@no1marauder saidI said Trump is running on a platform of returning power to the people.
What a laughable claim; Trump "returning power to the people."
Not even you could be that gullible.
This is from Trump's inauguration speech:
For too long, a small group in our nation's capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have born the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs and, while they celebrated in our nation's capital, there was little to celebrate for struggling families all across our land.
That all changes starting right here and right now because this moment is your moment. It belongs to you. It belongs to everyone gathered here today and everyone watching all across America. This is your day. This is your celebration, and this, the United States of America, is your country.
What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people. January 20th, 2017, will be remembered as the day the people became the rulers of this nation again. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer.
Everyone is listening to you now. You came by the tens of millions to become part of an historic movement, the likes of which the world has never seen before. At the center of this movement is a crucial conviction that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Americans want great schools for their children, safe neighborhoods for their families, and good jobs for themselves. These are just and reasonable demands of righteous people and a righteous public, but for too many of our citizens, a different reality exists.

Watch any recent Trump rally, that message is still a central theme.

@mott-the-hoople saidCan Trump Zoom into a Presidential debate from prison ?
Trump was a hell of a lot better!

@sleepyguy saidTrump reading some crap off a teleprompter hardly means he actually believed in returning any power to the people. Not a single policy he pursued can reasonably be adjudged to have that effect.

@sleepyguy saidThumb up from Av Joe.
Lefties have to resort to redefining words when their stupid policies run into reality. So far with Biden we have redefined vaccine, woman, and recession. What's next? Poverty, perhaps?
26 Jul 22
@no1marauder saidMrarauder casts aside the age-old definition and is sucked in once again by Biden. Soon Marauder, you won't even have to think. Why should libs bother thinking? It will all be covered.
Unemployment is at 3.6%.
Biden's definition sounds a lot like the National Bureau of Economic Research one: "a significant decline in economic activity that is spread across the economy and that lasts more than a few months."

@sleepyguy saidBut libs reserve the right, as does Biden, to change the meanings of things. Like recession, or woman....

So, they do not see what Trump was saying. Who is more "America First", libs?. Trump, or Joe plagiarizing-college-cheater Biden?

@no1marauder saidYour first paragraph is of course wrong on its face.

Your second para is about right.

The central theme is election fraud.

@sleepyguy saidHahahahahahahaha haha.
Totalitarian. There's another one. Trump the republican populist, running on a platform of returning power to the people, is "totalitarian." Riiiight.
Haha.
Ohhh. Ya got me. Whew. I needed that. Thanks.
Returning power to his people. Not the people. Executive actions only on immigration. A massive massive acceleration of federal budget increases. A do nothing on purpose congress.
Unreal. Power to the peoples. Aaaaahhhhhahahah.
