Bill only has the most popular cable news program 10 years running. CNN and MSNBC can't compete. People can't stand to hear the truth. I am a very objective person, and Bill slams lefwingers as well as rightwingers as I see it, because I am just right of center. Why won't a lot of the big mouths in the leftwing camp go on his program and face ...[text shortened]... of $ it takes one just to live within the city limits......unbelievable....F&*k San Francisco!!
I hate to agree, but prohibiting military recruiting from anywhere is just stupid. Why shouldn't they have free speach just like any other organization.

Originally posted by telerionHe isn't welcoming a terrorist attack on San Francisco. He is making a point on the anti-military bias of that city. Whats wrong with recruiters going to schools and talking to students about a possible career in the military? Schools receive billions of tax dollars from said government but they don't want the military to come to the schools. Kind of hypocritic don't you think? I wouldn't want a terrorist atttack to ever happen again in this country. Now an earthquake on the richter scale of 8.5 should happen to come along and drop it in the Pacific. Well now thats something to ponder about.
Do you agree with Bill then and welcome a terrorist attack in San Francisco?
Originally posted by RagnorakThey take the governments money for the schools but, they don't want certain representatives of the same government to come to the schools. If they take that approach then maybe health workers, recruiters from universities ect. shouldn't be allowed to enter the schools either. Whether you like the military or not they are still entitled and have the same rights as other government officials. What about schools that offer ROTC in the bay area? What about those kids rights who might want to talk to a military recruiter?
How so?

Ultimately, the military has the same right to recruit that colleges do. You can talk to your kid, you can try and influence their views, but what this measure does is restrict the free speech and right to peaceful assembly of military recruiters.
I'm not a 1st amendment lawyer, but I don't think soliciting for a government organization or a private business is considered free speech, especially in a high school campus.
The recruiters still have plenty of stations in San Francisco. In my opinion, if a kid wants to enlist, they can go there. While they are in school during school hours, they should make use of the time and resources and try to learn something.
