Blatant Racism By State School Union and District

Plus, when they start hiring back laid -off people , whites will be last to be considered for rehire, regardless of seniority.
Before you whine about how it's Fox news, etc, the story is all over other news channels.

A Minneapolis teachers union contract stipulates that white teachers will be laid off or reassigned before “educators of color” in the event Minneapolis Failing Public Schools (MPS) needs to reduce staff.

After the Minneapolis Federation of Teachers (MFT) and MPS struck a deal on March 25 to end a 14-d ...[text shortened]... abor market and the community, and resulted in a lack of diversity of teachers,” the agreement adds.

This seems to have been proposed by the Minneapolis teacher's union, and not the school. Only 16 percent of of tenured teachers are nonwhite.

This means that a mostly white union came up with this idea. Is that really "racist"?
