If I may, you seem to just discount Trump telling everyone that he wanted to Hush the hore because he did not want his wife Melania to find out about it. You see, it would ruin his marriage to Melania. It was the only way that he could see clear to keep his affair under wraps
"Pecker described in detail an August 2015 meeting at Trump Tower, where the “catch and kill” agreement was presented to him, saying that he arrived unaware of the meeting’s purpose.

Once there, Trump, Cohen and Hope Hicks, then an aide to Trump, asked what his tabloid might be able to do “to help the campaign,” Pecker recalled. In response, he proposed that he could “publish positive stories about Mr. Trump, and I would publish negative stories about his opponents, and I said I would also be the eyes and ears.” He also suggested that if he heard any potentially damaging stories about Trump, that he would notify Cohen, who could purchase the stories to have them killed.

“Prior to that August 2015 meeting, had you ever purchased a story in order to not print it, about Mr. Trump?” the prosecutor asked Pecker.

“No,” Pecker said."

As I said, virtually everything Cohen testified to was corroborated by documents or others' testimony.

Not many facts seem to be in serious dispute; Cohen made the payment right before the election, Trump reimbursed him for it under a schedule laid out by the Trump's organization Chief Financial Officer and most of the checks were signed by Donald Trump (paid out of hi ...[text shortened]...
So what exactly did Cohen lie about that has relevance to the 34 felony charges here against Trump?
I will defer to you that none of the facts are in dispute.
But the 'Crime'? Just what will put him in a jump suit? There is one poster here who wants him in jail for life. You people are mad. Get Trump!!! For what? Instead, Keep Trump! Get Success.

Easy man. If you are responding to me, I am simply pointing out that no cirme has been specified.
Did you just write about 130 and Cohen? You may as well say that Cohen ran a red light on the way to the court room. We could discuss that, and the 130k, but that is not the issue of my post which you are responding. MOst of you fellers need schooling in debate.

Trump doesn't have to be charged or previously convicted w.r.t. the second crime (i.e. the crime that elevates the misdemeanor charges to a felony).

Judge Merchan:

"The People’s primary contention with Defendant’s argument is that the statute does not require that the “other crime” actually be committed. Rather, all that is required is that defendant have the intent. That is, he acted with a conscious aim and objective to commit another crime."

"As is clear from the plain reading of PL § 175.10, it is not necessary for a defendant to be convicted of the “other crime,” it is his intent to commit those other crimes that carries the day."

So to find Trump guilty, the jury must find a) that he committed fraud, and b) it was with the intent to violate one of these other laws:

- FECA, and/or
- New York State Election Law Section 17-152 preventing "any two or more persons" to "conspire to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means", and/or
- NY State tax law

What is the crime? I think you are just thinking of things that have been done, 30 or so things blah blah, all the stuff, the Stormy stuff, the entries, etc, but what crime was committed

How bout this.....where and how is the 'actual' crime enumerated or spelled out by Bragg, who is prosecuting. "We are here today to prosecute Mr. Trump for running the light at Maple Street". Do you really think any of the jurors can say it clearly? Bragg has given them nothing to go on, except to map out all that Trump has said and done over a couple of weeks.. Oh, and map out the serial liar and the activities of his girlfriend. And an ensuing Hush agreement. A private contract. And possibly a misdemeannor, upon which the statute has run.

Man do y'all hate Trump.

So if I buy a gun with intent to kill my granny, wouldn't the prosecution tell the jury that I intended to kill my granny (the 'other' crime, by your definition)?
