So there is a corrupt benefit to the Ukrainians being asked to investigate corruption?

Do tell.
That wasn't what they were being pressured to do as you know.

IF there was such "corruption" by the Bidens, how come no official investigation was ever commenced in the US by the Congress or the DOJ?

Do you really have to ask?

I mean, the head of the DOJ under Obama met privately with Bill Clinton while investigating his wife. Gee, I wonder what bribes happened then.

Of course, they were just talking about their grandkids, right?

Last I checked, Obama was no longer in office.

How come the Republican Congress and the Sessions/Barr DOJ never commenced an official investigation of this matter?

Maybe the same reason there are scores of people around him today trying to do him in since the day he took office

It is the Swamp, after all.

But not even you called for any action against Obama for violating the War Powers Act, even though you admitted he had done so.

No endless posts about how Obama was a law breaker.

Amazing.

Is it just me or are democrats not even using the term bribery in a correct manner? Shocking, I know.

Here is the definition I have.

Bribery

The offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of something of value for the purpose of influencing the action of an official in the discharge of his or her public or legal duties

How is Trump matching this definition even ...[text shortened]... their fake DNC run news as always by simply agreeing to the notion that Trump is guilty of bribery.
Didn’t I just see trump intimidate a witness as she was giving testimony?

Yes. And you did too.
You enabler!

The Ukrainian President is as corrupt as Trump. So was Shokin. So is Lutsenko.

Is that the "swamp" you're talking about?

The question is whether the investigation of a potential political opponent is something of "value." Value traditionally means something pecuniary. A reduced sentence in exchange for testimony, for example, is not considered "value" for purposes of the federal bribery statute (18 USC 201) ( United States v. Feurtado, 191 F.3d 420 (4th Cir. 1999)). Is there case law that demonstr ...[text shortened]... federal bribery law without having received anything that could be construed as pecuniary in nature.
When does a political candidate become a real opponent? I think most democrats determine that by poll numbers and don't want to admit it. The nomination has not even been determined yet, so how valuable can an investigation into the Bidens be?

Where would the line be drawn? Do poll numbers matter? What if Trump had asked a foreign country to investigate Yang or Jill Stein? Would we even be talking about it? What if it was a candidate from a relatively unknown party like the US Marijuana Party?

When I asked no1 that question he avoided answering the question multiple times. Eventually he said poll numbers didn't matter. That just brings up more questions though. What if I ran for president with a newly created US Opium Poppy Party. I grow opium poppies in another country and I am suspected of making heroin and exporting it. The POTUS asks the president of that country to investigate me. Is that an impeachable offense?

Lets say my poll numbers are at about the same percent as CO2 in the atmosphere, 0.04%
I wouldn't be considered much of a rival with those numbers, but I could argue I am still a "potential" political opponent.

Impeachment of Trump would create a new precedent. The lines would need to be drawn somewhere. Where would you draw the line?

You accepted that false narrative right away. Does Schiff tell you what to think?
Trump did not intimidate her at all. Did he indicate his tweet was meant for her? She would not have even known about the tweet if Schiff had not announced it to her. Maybe Schiff should be condemned for aiding in the intimidation. Him and whoever gave Schiff the paper with the tweet written on it. Schiff didn't even have a phone in hand. He had to rely on someone else monitoring Trump's tweets. So you have two people conspiring to aid in the intimidation of a witness by choice.

It was brought up in the hearings that the term "bribery" was not used once by any of the witnesses, and not even by democrats or cross examination, yet this is what the Dims say Trump is being impeached for?

All this appears to be is the Dims using their state controlled press to smear Trump every day in the news using fake news for the 2020 elections.

You know full well Ukraine is a country in serious trouble and if Russia gets its way, there will BE no Ukraine, just another Russian state in their drive to rebuild the Soviet Union.
So a weak country like Ukraine, their president is going to go against whatever Trump says?
Exactly whose side are you on? Russia? Like Trump?

@Metal-Brain
“Tim Morrison, Alexander Vindman’s former boss, testified in his deposition that he had concerns about Vindman’s judgment,” the White House pushed to its 19.3 million followers shortly before 1:00 p.m.

Let's see. It does seem he attacked Vindman BY NAME and didn't even use his military rank you assshole.

All this goes to show Republicans have ZERO defense of the charges and therefore the only thing they can do is to attack the messengers in their deep desperation.
They also sincerely wish Trump would stop sticking his foot in his mouth with those tweets but that is not going to happen either since he is getting more and more senile day by day.
