Originally posted by NordlysOf course I am especially interested in the "mercy killing" of mentally disabled, who cannot give their own consent, because that was the issue at hand. On this basis I build my case of my claim that there are striking similarities between Bbarr's thinking and the Nazi thinking during the twenties and thirties regarding this subject.
I read the thread with some interest and considered stepping in, but I didn't know enough about bbarr's ideas on the issue, so I rather let him speak for himself. He did a pretty good job.
And yes, I might still go back to the thread and contribute if I have the time, but I am quite busy at the moment, and to make a meaningful contribution I'd have to take my time, find some relevant sources etc.
I'm curious to see what you can come up with to prove your claim that I show a "lack of historical knowledge and necessary insight" in comparing Bbarr's ideas now and the Nazi ideas during the twenties and thirties.
Nordlys: "He did a pretty good job."
No he did not. He sidestepped my findings by pointing at some irrelevant diffferences, but he couln't refute my claims about the similarities, because they are simply there for everybody to see who wants to see them.
The thread titled "First they came ....." in which these issues are being investigated can be found here:

True. I remember we had a discussion about that quite a while ago where I actually argued your side, because your reference to the "Braunhemden" was quite clear to me as a German, and Ragnorak was quite clearly misinterpreting it.
Flick back through the debates forum and you'll see a pattern where Ivanhoe starts hateful threads against Muslims in particular, but ignores posts where it is pointed out that white people behave equivalently to what he is so abhorred by.
D
Originally posted by RagnorakI know, but in that thread (a long time ago), I am quite sure you did misinterpret his reference to "brown trash". His bias against Muslims is a different story - and of course that bias makes it quite easy to misinterpret it when he talks about "brown trash".

Again you're trying to fabricate accusations against me. Open a thread on the issue and prove your point by using quotes of mine with references.
