The post that was quoted here has been removedActually, I believe that ballet is only endorsed by the Chinese nouveaux riches because they are Philistines blindly embracing what they perceive European elites as approaching. Similarly, the new middle class trying to copy the elites in Korea were all into making their kids learn violin and piano.
What are the chances that the bulk of the new Chinese middle class truly appreciates & understands ballet or classical music as a timeless art? Probably roughly similar to that of the American middle class actually having had embrace the opera and chamber music.
These are just the shallow gestures of Philistines.
I do not see how you did not see these criticisms coming. They are very basic & true to a contemporary Marxist & intersectionalist understanding.
You really don't care about anything that I would write. I can sit here and write all night about the topic and at the end of the day you just going to come with the same ridiculous attack that whatever I am saying must actually just be the result of racism.
I just talked about how the middle class in America made of white people was not truly interested in opera or in chamber music. I would say that is well Of Europeans that like to ape with the upper classes in joy. But I think you're not even interested in any of that period
You are not actually interested in a conversation about the arts in what they mean because you have one trick here and that is to play the race card as hardest possible and with great frequency.
I was kind of hoping that the marxist inside of you would humour a deeper conversation.
