I prefer not to be guided at all, especially by Christians who are the
misguided of them all.
I celebrate every day, I celebrate the mysteries of the universe and
what it is to be alive. Not like Christians who prefer to think they
own the mysteries and celebrate death.
That's right buddy, you're in a cult of death only you're too happy
clapped to care.
GRANNY.

I've found it helpful to keep this "celebration" small and personal. I don't buy into the "merchandising" of Christmas!
Not to be a kill joy but how does everyone view Christmas? It seems that the holiday is built up to such a degree that if, for whatever reason, things are not going our way the season tends to cause us to become depressed. For example, a loss of a loved one or hard economic times, loneliness etc, can lead to a great deal of depression or even suicide. In ...[text shortened]... have such high expectations for one day out of the year? Is it counterproductive on the whole?
A few small handmade gifts to friends and family, followed by the study of some key Bible passages is where I stop. I think it's also imporntant to respect the holidays of Jews and Muslems as well. Keeping things small and personal is an excellent way to not buy into the "hype" of Christmas. This also helps me avoid the letdown afterward. 😏
Originally posted by whodeyI'm more frustrated at the ever earlier barrage of Christmas music on the radio each year. This year it started right after Halloween.

Most Western "Christmas" traditions are in reality of pagan origins.
And on the whole there is little religion attached to the holiday as far as I can see, for most Americans.
On the other hand, I am also troubled by the attacks on Christmas and other "Christian" traditions by various institutions who want to even further secularize the holiday.

Wow, you seem angry that God doesn't reveal Himself to you. What a pity. It is because of God that you are able to celebrate every day, and be in awe of the universe that He created and that we Christians shall inherit; it's not too late for you put a down payment on eternity, but if you don't, you will have free room and board in the realm of satan. I ...[text shortened]... rs who celebrate the mysteries of death and, therefore, are the true the cult of death.

AUGH! MY EYES! Take it to Spirituality.
There is a God.
God is male.
He reveals Himself to people.
He created the universe .
It is because of God that you are able to celebrate every day and be in awe of the universe.
Only Christians will inherit the universe.
Following Him is like putting a down payment on eternity.
Satan exists.
Satan has a realm.
If you don't have the same superstions as dystoniac you will join Satan.
The Bible says that those who refuse to accept jesus as savior will go to Satan's realm.
Christians don't claim to understand the mysteries because Jesus stated that what they see now is a cloudy mirror, but soon we will see all things as clearly as crystal.
We should simply trust Jesus to show us the answers someday.
Death is anathema to Christians and God's teachings.
Non-believers are the true the cult of death.
The question is, has dystoniac got any links to objective sources?

You sir, are obviously a fool if you think all priests are like that.
The priests who committed such disgusting crimes weren't following what the catholic church teaches.
That, my friend sits on the shoulders of every priest who turned a blind eye, and will surely keep Pope John Paul, and all who helped in Keeping the corrupt policies alive in Purgatory forever.
