what outrage? chavez did what he did for ideological/political reasons, it wasn't based on whether he disaggreed or not with Israel's actions.
It's not possible that he was outraged? Or is it just possible that the concept just does not fit in your world view?
Originally posted by generalissimoIsrael for several years has been attempting to overthrow the elected government of the Gaza strip by measures which are in clear violation of accords that the Israeli government itself agreed to. It is unsurprising in the extreme that these illegal actions led to some consequences. But those consequences did not include the deaths of over 1200+ Israelis.
It's also villainous behavior to lauch rockets, and preach hatred and the destruction of a state.
or so you think it would have been better if israel had ignored the terrorism just to please you and the other anti-israel (and probably anti-semitic) people?
The irony is if Israel had simply abided by the Oslo agreements, Hamas would never have become a significant political force in Palestine. It is even more ironic that Israelis seem to be on the verge of putting back into power the very same person who sabotaged the Oslo agreements in the first place under the rationale that he is now the only one who can effectively deal with the Hamas "threat" (of course, his political opponents were willing to launch the recent murderous onslaught on Gaza in order to try to swing public opinion on that).

Originally posted by buffalobillif you support people who are anti-israel/anti-semitic like the hamas, it would make one wonder if the person has a prejudice against israel/jews.
