I'm a disbelieving sort of a person, and I tend to discount most conspiracy theories without ever really bothering to read up on them with an open mind.

What are the good conspiracy theories that people are aware of at the moment (ones where you initially go 'No way!', but the more you read, the more you start to think 'Hmmmm'😉?

The conspiracy that seems more plausible the more I look into it is that some coalition of ultra-conservatives have somehow infiltrated the Democratic Party in the US for the purpose of steering it towards stupid causes that are unpoular with the American people. Their objective seems to be to recreate the political party system in the US so that two right wing parties battle against each other for control.

Just an observation here - I like how with most conspiracy theories , lack of evidence is always used as proof of a wider cover-up .

The easiest way for me to avoid taking personal responsibility for the fact that I'm an unsuccessful nobody living in nowheresville wasting my time playing internet chess is by blaming some complicated anti-Delmer conspiracy.

I think the greatest conspiricy theory is that the knight's templars ended up in the Rosicrusians and from there on spread into free masonry.

That they have a secret that only a few people know and that it is enough to destabalise the world.

The holy grail: The 900 year old conspiracy theory

I saw the documentary too, and I must admit I found it compelling.
You really have to read Foucault's pendulum by Umberto Eco then!

You must have heard the one about G W Bush & Michael Jackson chimp, Bubbles, who are supposed to be one and the same person.

The main evidence being there strikingly similar appearance, and the fact that they have never ever been seen in the same room together.

Of course there are plenty of theories disputing this claim, the most damaging being that there is no way GW could fake Bubbles seemingly superior intelligence.
