@Suzianne saidAnd it is light too. Perfect for small women.
The AR-15 is such a good weapon that it is honestly hard to be crap at firing it.

@Suzianne
It's not the firing part, it is the AIMING part that is a wee bit more difficult.
It would be one thing if that weapon he actually used had a scope attached but I have not heard that or a picture of the weapon used, one picture would clear that one up.
ANY kind of scope used would mean ESPECIALLY at under 200 yards would be a near certain kill, you would be off like MAYBE an inch off your crosshairs.
@sonhouse saidCrooks was practicing at the shooting range with his father's rifle the day he didn't come home. He was practicing so now we know how he improved his marksman skills.

@Metal-Brain
Spraying 8 bullets to try to kill one person is NOT marksmanship.
Like I said, the REAL sniper took ONE bullet to off Crooks.
If Crooks knew what he was doing he would have included a tripod and scope on that weapon but nobody said a word about those kind of accessories to the weapon.
@sonhouse saidSmall caliber, so gravity doesn't have much of an effect, unless the muzzle speed is lower.

Wind is the hardest to compensate for. Still, yeah, it was less than 200 yards, add a scope and the odds go way up.
I have hardly any experience with rifles, but with a scope, even I coulda hit him (with an AR-15). He was too out in the open, so he ended up attracting distractions. From a more hidden location, having more time to sight in, he might have had better luck.
@sonhouse saidYou don't know Crooks was the only shooter. Crooks was probably there for an easy guy to blame. I think they let Crooks try and had another sharp shooter to take Trump out with one bullet. He missed.

Now they have to resume pressuring Biden to resign. If he continues to refuse he might conveniently die of a heart attack. After all, he is old. Old people die.
@sonhouse saidPeople would talk about it for a long time, like they talked about the assassination of Kennedy, but it wouldn't be for the same reasons.
@Suzianne
Can you imagine how the course of history would have change if that one round hit a couple inches to the right?
On the other hand, something like that might be a trigger for unintended circumstances, like an outright civil war. Too much depends on the extremist rhetoric.
@Metal-Brain saidHere's a crazy idea:
I don't want this good man to be forgotten. He died because of an assassin and the incompetence of the secret service under Cheatle.

There are calls for Cheatle's resignation, but why doesn't she get fired?
Letting Corey Comperatore die is good reason for a firing. There was p ...[text shortened]... /politics/congress/speaker-johnson-calls-secret-service-director-resign-assassination-att-rcna162351
Why don't we let the proper government agencies do a full investigation before we start firing people?
@Metal-Brain
Biden was asked yesterday if he had talked with the head of the Secret Service and Biden said "yes I had a meeting with him." Interviewer quickly saved him by asking "so you spoke to HER".....Old fool didn't even know the head of the SS was a woman. Why would he, his wife Jill picked her.
@Suzianne saidBS...you dont know rifles...a stock ar 15 rifle is a close range weapon, not good at all for a sniper

There was a second shooter. He missed because of the wind or something and Trump dived to avoid a second bullet and the accomplished sharp shooter/Assassin could not get a second shot.
That is how it happened and assassinating him is now impractical for the Rockefellers. Now they have to pressure Biden out to beat Trump. If they cannot do that expect Biden to die soon. Conveniently. He is old. Everyone will accept he just died of old age from natural causes.
