Cowardly or no?
Let's say that you play a blitz game with some one. In the first game, the other player showboats (e.g. makes silly knight wheels to give you a 7-8 move lead in development. Then once satisfied that they've shown you that they are "going easy", proceed to beat the daylights out of you. Then the next game they play in a more orthodox manner and of course pound you again.
Let's say that at the end of the last game you say "Wow you are playing 800 pts better than you did in the last game" and then resign and sign off with "nicely played" and "gg's."
Okay, so let's say that all this transpired and then Mother's Day rolls around and you stop by RHP for a moment to find TWO PM's from your oppnent. Both of them are mild rants telling you how they are amaster level player and you don't know anything about chess for saying "800 points" because a master can make useless moves if they like yadda yadda yadda.
Here's where the potential cowardice comes in. They leave these insulting messages in your mailbox on Mother's Day and then place you on an ignore list so that you cannot respond to tell them to chill out!
Is this snip-and-run behavior the act of a cowardly chicken? If you are tough enough to "dish it" shouldn't you also be able to "take it"?
Thank you in advance for your participation. I hope that we can have an honest debate.

Originally posted by telerionNon-members aren't able to PM anyway, so I guess you mean non-subs, and in this case my answer is definitely yes. I have had some nice PM exchanges with non-subs that I wouldn't want to miss out on. I also don't like to be challenged without being asked by PM, which means that non-subs wouldn't be able to ask me for a challenge at all if they couldn't send PMs. I also can't see why all non-subs (and the subs they correspond with) should be punished for the childish behaviour of a few people (subs and non-subs).

BTW if anyone would like to the name of the character described in the OP, just PM me. I doubt anyone will run into him, since he's not real, but maybe it's best to be safe.
