I suggest you read the article; it's a criticism of New York State's bail laws, not of any discretionary practices of the Manhattan DA's Office.

Your article first quotes a source that said only 2 percent of people let go with no bail were rearrested.

Then the NY Post conducted their own study citing *6 percent* of the total number of felons who were rearrested. They tried their best to skew their own numbers in a dishonest way but still ended up refuting you and themselves by posting the actual total amount.

You obviously only read the headlines of your own sources.
