@AThousandYoung
Well it didn't fall down, it tipped over in the landing which is why the signal strength sucks, antenna aimed at the ground doesn't make for great communications🙂
Anyway, it was basically a college kid effort and I think a great success in spite of the last minute hiccups like losing the laser altimeter and they figured out a way to get altimeter data with other instruments onboard.
Remember, this was just a bunch of kids in a project paid for by a commercial outfit not an official NASA project that would have cost half a billion or more.
I give kudo's to those kids.

@shavixmir saidSee, there you go.
Dutch Engineering has been used to build the infrastructure needed in Southern US States. And even then they warned that it’s not enough to stop all flooding and will need constant updating and maintenance.

Seemingly the Netherlands is ranked with top positions on technological i ...[text shortened]... al trade (# 3).
And that for a country of 18 million people, half of whom live beneath sea level.
You don't have 180 million redneck fools making you look stupid as a people, either.

@averagejoe1 saidI wasn't aware that Shav and Zahlanzi were going to the moon.
And the Aussies and NZ.. Shav is the one who touts his 4-week vacations. If all of them dutch-shoe wearing foul mouths do that, no wonder they never do anything worth putting in the news. I defy one of you to find a main news story on Nlands or Romania. (main)
