Disney World/Land is so damned overrated. They charge an arm and a leg to mainly stand in queues all day. The rides are great (some of them, anyway), but the waits (even on "light" days) make it so stressful it's not worth it. Plus, after mortgaging your house to get in, you get the privilege of paying 6 times what everything is worth for caps and water and whatever.

I took m ...[text shortened]... afting, zip tours, water parks, county fairs, etc., is so much cheaper, less stressful and more fun.

Yeah, DW is overrated; too bright, too loud, too surreal, a cartoon world. I say send yer kids with backpacks in the top end of the John Muir Trail and pick them up at the other end three months later. They'll have learned things about life on the way they'll never forget.

Hard to tell the communist party probably just took over and incorporated traditional prejudices. Marxists and socialists are not particular known for their anti gay or lesbian crusades there was a time in the west when Marxists spurned those phobias as being part of the oppressive framework of the patriarchal elite.
