I find it curious that the right-wingers here tend to be automaton-like bingo hoppers that churn out outrageous or oddball anecdotes on a daily (sometimes hourly) basis, whereas the reasonable people want to talk more about the bigger economic, social, or political issues of our times. Funny.

You imply that no one on either side should have a gun. OK. But I do think it should be all accomplished over a 24 hour period. Wham bam, so no guns are left hanging out there. Lets do it, I would even give up hunting!

"Sociopolitical' is quite subjective, don't you think? And yes, in today's Biden world of economics, Americans, both dems and repubs, are losing all arguments.
And now I've thought about it, you are right. We are losing the sociopolitical arguments. Hell, just today the town council dictated (a lib word) to us homeowners to give up any spare bedroom to a homeless person.

'Slippery slope' can be a fallacy but is not necessarily so, there are actual slippery slopes. Simply saying 'slippery slope fallacy' and wishfully thinking it is a fallacy is a fallacy.
