The comedian playing Jonathan Pie, has a hard time making it sound funny.
It’s about the state Britain’s in after 14 years of tory rule and austerity (cutting back on public spending).
I’m seriously interested in what the pro-capitalist reaction is to the video.
"And don’t believe anything on bloody youtube, reddit, tiktok or whatever either.

@vivify saidBrexit obviously had an impact, but the austerity measures have been going on for 14 years. Basically cutting back on health care, education, social help, etc.
How much does Brexit factor into the current recession compared to capitalist ventures? The UK economy slowed as a direct result.
Millions of people now have to rely on foodbanks, the health service has massive waiting lists, that sort of thing.
And as Pie points out, the extremely rich have become much richer (also due to tax breaks) and the government keeps saying there is no money.
@shavixmir saidMaybe the guy that named the thread thinks he's a comedian himself. It should have read 'Failing Socialism' nowhere does pieface mention capitalism and rightfully so, that was your invention pseud boy, these woes aren't the result of capitalism it comes from not enough capitalism,
Did I tell you to believe it?
The guy’s a comedian.
Now, give us your opinion on the topic, or go outback and rape some more roos.
To paraphrase the great Margaret Thatcher:
'The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.'
How many times have we been over this tax the rich red herring. If they taxed rich folk at 100% that's enough to run goobermint for 5.73 days then you're back to square one, it's not a tax problem it's a spend problem. It's a massive ponzi scheme, they buy your vote with your money (not your money shag doody, it's established that you're a parasite) and when there is no 'your money' left they use majic money which amounts to another tax (a.k.a inflation) putting generations to come into debt, a kind of child abuse. They're born into a system with a massive debt hanging over their head.

@shavixmir saidUhhh, I fail to get how much money an individual (the rich that you refer to) has, has ANYTHING to do with the government. I seriously do not understand the thought process of libs who factor in the money of Mr Moneypenny when they look to cover the problems of other people through employing the power of government. The Constitution makes no provision to go after rich people. Are you truly so reliant and dependent on successful people? Do they have a duty of care other than moral charitable care of truly down and out helpless people?
And as Pie points out, the extremely rich have become much richer (also due to tax breaks) and the government keeps saying there is no money.
@averagejoe1 saidShave clearly said the rich are getting tax breaks at the same time the government is claiming there's no money for important social programs. Pay attention to what you just read.

One reason why Liz Truss was so unpopular was because she proposed a tax measure where the rich would end up paying less than average people.
@shavixmir saidDespite those austerity measures the UK didn't have a recession since 2008, until 2020 when Brexit was finalized. They've had two recessions since then.

I only bring this up because the guy in your video used the recession as his topic.

@vivify saidBut you say paragraph one, that the govt says "(there is) no money for important social programs." Can you stay with us here, no fly-of-handle, and tell us what the balance in the treasury has to do with people who 'make more than others' ,, for lack of a better way to say it?

If you and I live in a perfectly equal society, everyone equal and free, where some are enterprising and make more than others, I would think it would punishing these people to have them pay the bills of others. That is about the simplest way I can put it. Can you comment on that with a simple answer? But not using phrases like 'living wage' or 'fair share', as these phrases have no definition.
Just plain english. thankyou.
@averagejoe1 saidYou can't claim there is no money for social programs then give money to the rich through tax benefits.
But you say paragraph one, that the govt says "(there is) no money for important social programs."
If there's money to give to the rich then that money should be spent on social programs.
It's not hard to understand.

@vivify saidTax breaks/tax benefits are not 'giving', it's taking less.

Let's see some numbers, do these supposed 'taking less'(es) in anyway come near the deficit spending of goobermint?

If a government isn't able to pay for social programs they shouldn't be collecting less money from the rich.
