For a social sport I choose Curling, played it in Sweden and theres nothing better than being outside in -22 degrees drinking a cup of glog with your friends. Very fun sport.
To watch and play I'm mad for Rugby, and will never forget last year when we won the world cup..... even better cause I live in Sydney :0)
But for pure adrenaline you cant beat KiteBoarding, awesome fun racing along the ocean in a 30knot wind with a 16metre kite and you hit a big swell launching yourself 10+ metres into the air!!! Feels like flying!!!

Hockey... neat idea... Lame Game.
The NHL is falling apart. Tell me it aint so?! There will be a strike soon, from what I hear on sports radio... no one in the US wants to watch a game that ends 2-1 at best, or perhaps 1-0..
W ...[text shortened]... in the goal...
Yay... Score. Yawn.
Hockey is Dead.

I used to play a lot of football, but not so much anymore.

Oh, and that's football. The one where you actually use your feet to play.
The best sport (if you can call it that, they did) I've ever seen to watch was the Freestyle Sports Flying Championship. Some amazing flying. I know a bit about flying, I've done a fair bit, but not only could I not do what those guys where doing, I have no idea at all how they did them.
I've been a martial artist for a few years now, so any sort of sparring/grappling type sport is what I've been involved in most recently
Rugby League is a proper sport. There isn't any stunt diving for penalties. Or king-sized mattresses stuffed under everyone’s jerseys. Or shorts which pull off an admirable impression of underwear.
Cricket is good also.
Ps. And would everyone kindly PLEASE stop referring to their particular brand of footy (no matter how bad it is!) as 'Football', presuming we'll know which one you mean. You Yanks are the worst offenders!
