@sh76 saidYour assertion that it is only libertarians is nonsense. I can't believe you of all people would fall into kazet's ignorance. I voted for Jill Stein.
The libertarian hard-on for the Fed dates back to when The Donald was making bad reality TV and running real estate empires into the ground (and probably long before that).
Do you think the share holders of the FRS should be made public? If we do not know who they are how will we know there is not a conflict of interest?

@metal-brain saidOf course, Trump does it his own way:
Trump has never said anything bad about the FRS except that he thinks interest rates should not be raised this much. Trump knows not to upset the FRS.
In an extraordinary series of attacks this week, Trump called the Fed “crazy,” “loco” and said it's “gone wild” with interest-rate hikes. And he blamed the central bank, in part, for the latest sharp decline in the stock market.
“I think the Fed is out of control,” he told reporters Thursday.

@metal-brain saidIs this just a case of missing info of ownership (EDIT: or generel lack of transparency)?

Or do you really want to dismantle the Fed?

@lundos saidAll of Trump's economic policy seems focused on a strong stock market. All other economic aspects seem to be beyond the purview of his knowledge and/or care.

@lundos saidThe identities of the shareholders of the FRS is a closely guarded secret. I want the identities to be revealed so the public can determine if there is a conflict of interest.

I believe the shareholders of the FRS are the main shareholders of the big banks that were bailed out.
@sh76 saidHis comments were about foreign policy. It was a criticism of Gary Johnson and Stein is not even close to a libertarian and Ron Paul knows that.

@metal-brain saidThere are no shareholders of the FRS.
Do you think the share holders of the FRS should be made public?
@sh76 saidAs if Trump has any clue what leads to "a strong stock market." He just tweets when the stock market is up.

@metal-brain saidNo, there really isn't. There are shareholders of the Reserve Banks, but not of the Fed itself. You are insisting on disclosure of something that is non-existent.
Yes there are.
@no1marauder saidThe FRS is privately owned. That is a fact.

Reserve banks are the fed itself. Hence the word "system". Any more myths you want to assert?
