But when it comes down to going out and actually voting, the repubs have the edge.
You do know that - regardless of polls, the midterms go to the opposition every time
1934 might be the best comparison; a Democratic President taking over after an economic crash. But Republicans then hadn't decided to cancel the right of bodily sovereignty for 1/2 of the population.
And besides that's history, not something preordained.
