It will run kerosine, that is exactly what diesel fuel is but they put red dye in it and if you get caught driving a diesel with red stuff, you get really stiff fines.

Diesel fuel is green, bio-fuel clearish,
never, ever saw red fuel,
even in Mexico where, their many old fuel
pumps display the fuel in a large glass casing
seated atop the pump.......What is the red stuff?
Kerosene is more costly, hard to find.
...never seen it at a pump station.

Red kerosene comes from the Federal government requiring kerosene not intended for road use (and, subsequently untaxed) to be dyed red.

It's clear usually.
Diesel engines can use it.
