@vivify saidI think using XTC isn’t the bloody solution to help animals deal with cruelty.
It would be a good thing because it would help animals deal with the cruelty they suffer. At least until legislation is passed for much more humane treatment.
I don't disagree that animals are often treated terribly in the meat industry
They are. Their treatment is utterly immoral. See the BBC link in the OP, or the link about Chris Christie.
Stop the bloody cruelty.
So, the price of meat goes up. The food tastes better. We eat slightly less of it.
@shavixmir
Or a lot less of it, not that I am a veggie, I enjoy a good steak now and again.
@shavixmir saidYes. But that could take years. This America after all. Something needs to be done in the meantime.
I think using XTC isn’t the bloody solution to help animals deal with cruelty.
Stop the bloody cruelty.
@vivify saidSomeone ought to do something/
Farm animals are treated in cruel, inhumane ways.
This includes animals being kept in cramp, tight cages where they can barely move, for hours, days or even weeks at a time. They're injected with all manor of hormones, live in filth, and often never see the outside of the factory they're kept in.
Below is a BBC documentary on the inhumane treatment of cows:

This sounds like a criminal waste of ecstasy/
@sonhouse saidThe biggest danger of Ecstacy, especially among ravers, who take it and dance for hours, is major dehydration, leading to the inability of the blood to cool the brain. We've all seen ravers who look like they just jumped in a pool, clothes and all. I've always said they should sell Gatorade at raves. Alcohol and coffee won't help you re-hydrate, kids.
@jimm619
Joking aside, ex is pretty dangerous I heard. Heart races, sometimes killing the person.
