Money is simply one of the easiest ways to get the other things that you want. Your brother probably wouldn't be able to travel to Australia often if he didn't have a well paying job.
It is socially exceptable to talk about money, so I suspect these women polled in the Sunday Times were happier to talk about the money then the other two.

Do you really think that's true?
Maybe I'm being nieve but I really don't think money makes the world go round. I think how these women were asked the question is important.
Afterall how much is enough money?
-Enough to feed and cloth your childern- well at the very least the state would cover that.
-Enough to live the life you are accustomed to? ...[text shortened]... t a devorce, but not try for one is private or because of the way the question was worded.

The marriage rate in Great Britain has collapsed to its lowest point since its government began keeping statistics in 1862. Now, even marriage is being called into question, says Stephen Flurry. I have to ask: How much longer till Great Britain's collapse is complete?

Really must commend DSR for his efforts in dredging the cess-pits of the christian far-right to bring us these gems.
Keep it up, you know your efforts are appreciated.
Doesn't the increase in divorce rate reflects the fact that people are generally getting better off financially so that they could afford to go separate ways? Making personal choices are generally more acceptable than very old days also.
Other social problems such as high incidence of youth crimes like vandalism, heavy drinking, and skunk smoking are something more to worry about in this country. Surely we can't blame single/divorced parents for all of these.
