Typical liberal thinking. People can't get out of town themselves if there is a problem. The government has to do it for them.
They may be true for people who have learned to live on the governement's hand outs, but it isn't true for people who work for a living.
I can think of only one case where a company was a fault and neglegent. It had to do wit ...[text shortened]... sible enough to find a way out of the area.
But I suppose that's just my way of thinking.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone think they should not have the right to ride out the storm or should the government start arresting people who stay behind?

How do you assess the situation in New Orleans ?

Definitely not the mother of all storms from what I've read. Really it turned out about as well as one could expect.
Gustav was passing over the same phenomena. From what I've read right about the time Gustav was passing over this there was an injection of a lot of dry air which disrupted the eye and hence Gustav....

You didn't watch the clip did you? The folks in the Superdome and the bridge were prevented by the National Guard from walking to better conditions (they were disallowed from entering the nearest town was clean water, food, and electricity). And yes, this was after, [b]6 days after. No food, no water, and not allowed to leave.

Secondly, I was saying that they should have left before the herricain hit. 😉
And Yes, I did watch the video.

No, not one who is a daughter of a VP nominee from the party of family values. I'm hoping that James Dobson will soon comment as I know he would if it were one of Obama's kid's.
Originally posted by SickboyNo..... I could give a crap whether he does or he don't. But in my opinion who gives a stink what a VP candidates daughter has done 5 moths ago, just like I didn't give a rats ares about what Bill and Hillary's daughter is up to. See to me, it is people like that (who make a big deal about B.S.) like thinking they are BREAKING magor news about a teen pregnancy that has help trivialise and make our nation into a nation that would spend 6 months on Bratney Spears relationship problems. It is sad on both ends.
Are you denying that James Dobson would be commenting if it was Obama's daughter's kid?
