@divegeester saidWhat do you think the Republican / Trump vision is?
I’m sorry to hear about your wife, really. That sounds troublesome and I can see how all consuming it would be for you both. All the best to her for a swift recovery.
So I’m not having a go at you about this. I’m just honestly bewildered that after me posting actively on this site for 12 years and especially the last 5 or 6 in this forum, all the Brexit stuff etc, tha ...[text shortened]... ng economic strategy within the manifesto. Compromise will be required and it’s not straightforward.
The best strategy for the Dems is to demonise Trump by simply telling the truth about him. I’m pleasantly surprised that someone, who I believe is in their 50s and politically engaged, still believes in political visions.
Elections are about picking the least worst option IMO and I think most reasonable people would vote Biden on that basis.
@kevcvs57 saidI think this is one horn of a two horn strategy. It will be a mistake I feel to rely sold on demonising Trump.

Business management 101: vision, objectives, goals, strategy, tactics, resources, measures.
The post that was quoted here has been removedMore tropes than visions but ok.
The Dems vision is about
Healing the rifts in American society
Making America great again
Defend America against all enemies
Make America fair again
All visions that can be taken from Biden’s speech.
I still think the Dems biggest asset is trump albeit they will never make inroads into his base, but they’ll pretend to try.
@divegeester saidlol do you pay attention at them things how does ‘vision’ differ from ‘goals’.

Couldn’t it be condensed to goals and strategy if it didn’t have to look good on an ‘Outlook’ presentation?
I prefer the manifesto driven campaigns with actual concrete examples of what they will do and by their absence what they won’t do because they do not have a mandate for it. Visions are a bit vague in terms of execution.
