@suzianne saidThe 'inclusive' thingy gives me pause..............
And what is wrong with those things? That you might have to acknowledge that other races are human beings too and that white people don't have a unique right to everything?
Tell htat to the little widow rancher on the south Texas border. You seem to think that EVERYone adopt that line of thinking. Her, too? Just asking.
@jj-adams saidAre you really that privileged that you can't see that you already have everything? All the privilege you have in this whitebread society and you can't spare a moment of empathy for this Native American? Haven't we already, as a society, taken enough from these people?
Because here's what happens when "diversity" takes over, suddenly it becomes an excuse to totally exclude whites:

That is really, really sad and the entire reason why people like me push back against people like you.

I started working when I was 14 years old, 60 years later I am still working.
My mother had to drop out of school after the 6th grade to work around the neighborhood doing laundry and household chores to bring in a few dollars a week during the depression.
What is this "everything" you claim we have?
@jj-adams saidA reference to 'you' in a post is not a personal thing, it is in regard to the issue or the point being made. It is directed at a certain group or culture. White culture being unfair to one of the black cultures. She does not even know you, so she is thinking of the cultural reference that you make, or whatever.

I might say I do not like japs, will not ride on a subway in the same car with one, because my daddy was bayonetted by one on a beach in Okinawa. It would raise the ire of someone who would call me a racist, but my reason may be justified. So, they are telling us that racism is wrong, but hardly upset with me personally. She does not know me. Sonhouse calls me POS, I consider it an endearing term.
Just the issues, maybe?

@averagejoe1 saidIt just pisses me off that she acts like white people have everything handed to them at birth and we don't have to work for what we have.

@jj-adams saidGranted, I think it would flow better if she stepped up her phrasing and substantive reasoning just a tad. I wojld think she would want to, to elicit like-wise responses.

There is little if anythihg to be gained by being glib and leaving things just hanging. I really don't know What she thinks, being all over the place and seemingly angry,. I think she and Shav et al want everyone to all get equally together, and then,,,then,,,, well actually I think that is just about it.
@averagejoe1 saidRacism, Joe.

It's called RACISM.
"Culture" is a smokescreen.
@jj-adams saidThe fact is that you do NOT have to work nearly as hard as minorities for what you have. The system is rigged for you.
It just pisses me off that she acts like white people have everything handed to them at birth and we don't have to work for what we have.
This is what racism being systemic and endemic means.
@suzianne saidTell that to the white with a PhD in engineering that was passed over for promotion for a black that was illiterate:

He can lead an exemplary life and still get gunned down by a racist cop. When was the last time you were in fear for your life when you see those red and blue lights in your rear view? I'm gonna guess never.
@jj-adams saidOne example. Well, then, oh, God that proves your entire nonsense narrative. In 99% of other instances, the black guy wouldn't have been given a glance, no matter if he had a PhD too, if not for quotas.

Not nearly as hard as the black man.
