If this is an interesting and insightful discussion, I think we can all agree that we can except government jobs, and limit it to the world of free enterprise.
And can we agree that govt reducing the cost of a taco or eggs by 30% will not get the job done, given that such an action has been proved to not work.

world of free enterprise.
we can except government jobs? - - What on earth does that mean?
And can we agree that govt reducing the cost of a taco or eggs by 30% will not get the job done - - What "job" are you talking about?
Joe - Every time you get serious about something, you start weaving words together like a 3-year-old.

@AverageJoe1 saidDid you mean 'accept' instead of 'except'?

Your posts are starting to sound as insane as Trump's.
@Suzianne saidSilly fella, ..."We can except government jobs." Silly fella, except means to exclude government jobs when discussing adding jobs in the world of free enterprise. We must Except the govt jobs when counting jobs. Take exception to them. I can keep trying to explain if you don't get it.

So, you will 'accept' the checks. NOW. you get it, yoiu definitely get that, dems can accept big time. Mistletoe on an oak tree!!!

If y'all all wake up in your shared boarding house this morning, you may say 'let us take down that statue in the square this morning, that guy had slaves'. Suzianne would say, 'we should get the job done in time to go to the Pub."
As to accept or except, which word do you think would be proper? Could you put it in a sentence for us, this could be a barn-burner post.

@AThousandYoung saidThe post of mine which you refer to is my saying 'to reduce the cost of goods'. It is not saying to increase income. That is your job, as a citizen, to increase your own income. The thinking is to do that yourself, not take money from other people, which you will have done today before the cock crows 3 times.
Why do you expect the President to help you increase income?

@yo-its-me saidIt is to you and McHill and Vivify and Suzianne. We have to keep the Forum fun. It is a hard one, sorry about that.
Is it a riddle?
The underlying riddle is how one candidate wants to raise taxes while the other wants to reduce taxes. Noe THAT is a riddle. Can you give us answer to that one?

@AverageJoe1 saidWhat is blatantly pathetic is Trump defrauding those families by telling them a false story in their hour of grief. I bet he never told them that the plan and timeline for pulling out of Afghanistan was his own. Cowardly Trump never owned up to his role in the operation.

The fact is that Trump wants to give the next big cut to the rich (again), shafting the middle class (again), while Harris wants to cut the taxes of the middle class, and raise them on the rich.
Sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
Trump's greatest trick was convincing his middle class base that the rich deserved a massive tax cut. What a blatant lie. This is why everyone knows Trump's base is dumber than dirt.
