After the second world war people asked the Jewish people why didn't they defend themselves against their enemies ? Why they didn't resist more their destruction in the shoa ?
The Jewish people has decided they will defend themselves in the future against their enemies. Israel doesn't want to destroy the Arabs or the Iranians, but the extremist Arabs ...[text shortened]... losive one we can find in the Middle East.

It reveals Israel started trying to develop nuclear weapons in the fifties, had nuclear weapons when they attacked Egypt, Syria and Jordan in the Six Day war in 1967, almost used them in the 1973 Yon Kippur war after some initial reverses and now has approximately 400 nuclear weapons and thus possesses the 5th largest nuclear arsenal in the world (in a country of less than 4 million people).

In mid-1963 President John F. Kennedy publicly told Israel that the Middle East was to be a non-nuclear area. He asked for an accounting of Israel's nuclear weapons program.
Israel refused to comply.
The US did nothing (except increase military aid to Israel).
In November 1963 Kennedy was killed. Since then no US president has told Israel to dismantle their nuclear program.
Not that I am surmising yet another conspiracy theory.
