Here's the thing, folks. We are argue and debate exactly how good the vax is at doing what. But if anyone believes India would still be at similar COVID levels as in early May now if not for the vax, they're not paying attention.

To attribute that solely to the vaccine is not intellectually honest.

I don't think anyone's saying vaccines are the only tool available in the ol' toolbox. Isn't it also intellectually dishonest to discount the effect of the vaccine on reducing COVID in India by saying it's not the sole contributor?
is there anything wrong with just stating the truth? you seem to infer that

Clinical trial data make it abundantly clear that the vaccinated are 20x less likely to be hospitalized for COVID.

By the way, early indications are that Florida, too, is cresting and should level off pretty soon, if it hasn't already. Some experts think it will be another week before Florida peaks. We'll see. Of course, this is infections. The peak hospitalizations and deaths will still lag a bit.

After 1-2 weeks at the peak, we might see a precipitous decline start somewhere around Labor Day. You know; right when school gets going.

To be conservative, I'd say 10-20x, but sure. I'll agree to that.

If you and DeSantis get your way and hundreds of thousands of unvaccinated school kids get to sit without masks in crowded classes, another "lag" (if it even happens) won't last long.
