The notion that the US invaded Iraq purely for oil is very superficial. One would imagine that oil did play an integral part in the decision making process. But the notion that America invaded Iraq in righteous valour and to 'liberate' the Iraqi people is ludicrous. The US is trying to reshape the Middle East for whatever reason, known only to the policy makers. If they are truly so benevolent, then why not liberate the Palestinians from Israeli oppression. Or oust Robert Mugabe. America is in Iraq to serve its own purposes and is selling the idea of liberation to the world to justify their invasion. Maybe their own purpose is their own national defence, but either way it has nothing to do with Iraq's freedom or cleansing the world of oppression. America has turned a blind eye to humanitarian atrocities in Africa, Asia and the Far East too long for anyone to believe that they have any semblance of benevolence

Sadly, things haven't gone according to plan. It's the wrong decade--the A-Team is still driving around in the 80s...that was the decade when plans came together...Maybe when President Schwarzenegger comes to power...at least he doesn't fumble his lines...
heh, that is a joke. I just filled my tank up at $3.20 a gallon. If Bush is over there for the oil, please, have him start shipping it over here.
